Mission Partners- the Jones Family from Malawi
Many of us met Rob Jones when he was back from Malawi last time in 2013, and we have prayed for and read about their work since then. We are very pleased that Rob will be with us again for our Joint Communion Service at Bankfoot Church Centre at 11.15am on Sunday June 26th.
Rob – Welsh, Pharmacist, worked in Nottingham, Tanzania and Dundee, home and church was in Perth before going to Malawi. Likes technology and sports such as tennis and golf.
Ritu – Indian, from a Sikh family, became a Christian at University in England, worked as a researcher in Dundee, lived in Perth. Likes reading, entertaining, cooking different cuisines and working with children
They have three Children – Sophie, Zara and Zoe.
Served with Church of Scotland World Mission since 2010 in Nkhoma Hospital, Malawi. Rob works in a busy hospital pharmacy and also does some pharmacy teaching in University of Malawi which he hopes will help strengthen pharmacy in Malawi. There is often a scarce supply of essential medicines such as insulin and they ask for prayer that they can make available life sustaining medicines despite the scarcity.
