Annual Holiday Club 2013.
Space Academy, based on the book of Daniel and also exploring the world of space and planets, is now over. 40 children were registered and with a team of 22 we were able to have lots of activities and fun! One excellent feature this year was the band which had keyboard, saxophone, guitar, cello, violins, cornet, trumpet and trombone. They did very well indeed in leading the singing and the majority also played for the Sunday service on 14 August when the congregation, parents and friends were able to appreciate them.
Many hilarious games were played and craft items were amazing! Learning about how Daniel and his friends and how they “lived God’s way” trusted God was the Bible part of the club.
We are so grateful to so many who made the club possible – and especially to Paula our youth worker; all the team – especially those who took a week’s holiday so they could be a part of it all – and of course all the children and their parents for letting them come.
The Friday evening BBQ at Active Kids Adventure Park was great fun and we are grateful to the Currie family for that gift.
Check out their site and if you have never visited it, why not give it a go?
